Traffic snarl-up in Ongata Rongai is eroding both the social and economic growth and has become a painful feature to commuters and residents of Rongai and its environs. The national and county government of Kajiado has been unable to intervene in assisting the disappointed residents who have lost hope on Kenya National Highway Authority (KEHA) in constructing the road.
Residents want the government to take immediate action in ensuring that the roads have been constructed and well maintained to help reduce the extra cost incurred which can be avoided
However, they blame the county government of not taking action to ensure that the roads are constructed at the right time. Fida roads are also in poor condition and when it rains the deep potholes are filled with stagnant water which makes it difficult for both passerby and road users.
